Tales of the Legion. Firewall. Cause and Effect. Scifantastic. These are just a handful of the many promising British sci-fi projects and magazines that Paul L. Mathews has—in one form or another—worked on. All have either floundered or met untimely ends. Is he cursed? Only time will tell... Prior to being the bane of British sci-fi, Paul was a concept artist, but, true to form, the rare and grizzly illness Myasthenia Gravis messed up his co-ordination. Now he tries to paint with words. To date his short-stories have appeared on the Deepening.com and in SciFantastic magazine (both have since ceased publication), Nowa Fantasyka and Twisted Tongue (which are probably due to), and Estronomicon (which we sincerely hope isn't). Maybe he should have stuck to drawing. Click here for Paul's blog, which features useful links for new writers, and insights from those who've made it big in the industry. | ![]() | |
